What is an Algorithm Run?
\When an Algorithm runs, it operates over every target under every campaign that the Algorithm is associated. A “Run” is a record of the results of that run, and contains every Decision that was made for the targets, and with each Decision is that Apply status of that Decision. If you have associated an Algorithm with 1,000 campaigns, and each campaign has 1,000 keywords, this will result in a million Decisions being made.
Only “Change Bid” and “Pause Keyword” Decisions will require review. Hopefully, you will find that the vast majority of your targets do not require any modification, and so their Decision will be to do nothing. So, of 1,000,000 Decisions created in a Run, only a few thousand may result in Decisions that require review.
See the Algorithm Designer page for information on creating and running an Algorithm.
When a Run is created by executing an Algorithm, it is generally put into one of two states:
- Pending Review – The Decisions were created but not yet applied to Amazon, waiting for the user to approve or deny them.
- Completed – The Decisions were created and immediately applied to Amazon. It is possible to Rollback a Run, to reset target bids to their original values.
The Runs Table
The “Runs” screen shows a list of all Runs that have happened, and their statuses. For each Run you can access the list of Decisions for the run by clicking on the
